Conekt PCR Mobile-Reader Proximity Readers

Mobile-Ready Proximity Readers

Farpointe has expanded its Conekt line of mobile-ready readers to include options that support 125-kHz proximity technology. This important development will assist current proximity users in easily transitioning to a mobile solution. The new PCR-Series is capable of reading Conekt mobile smartphone credentials, as well as traditional physical proximity cards and tags.

Mobile-Ready Proximity Models:

  • PCR-35L 2-in-1 Mullion/Single-Gang Box Reader
  • PCR-620L Mullion-Mount Reader and Keypad
  • PCR-640L Single-Gang Box Mount Reader and Keypad

In addition to the PCR-Series, Farpointe has added 3x4 and 2x6 keypad readers to its CSR-Series mobile-ready contactless smartcard readers.

Multiple credentials—which use a smartphone's Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to communicate with Conekt mobile-ready readers—can be loaded into the Conekt Wallet App.

Farpointe OSDP Verified

Farpointe Data is honored to be among the first three manufacturers to have earned the Security Industry Association's (SIA's) new OSDP Verified mark on its mobile, contactless smartcard and proximity solutions.

The Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP), which was recently made a global standard by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), provides interoperability among various companies' access control and security products.

According to SIA, the OSDP Verified mark instills confidence in integrators, specifiers and practitioners that devices have been tested and verified to meet stringent SIA OSDP standards.
